31/08/2010 11:57:39

LASGEMS Web Application User Training and Integration commenced for all private primary and secondary schools.

All public senior secondary schools successfully integrated, productively using LASGEMS online real-time since January 2010.

Integration of private schools earlier assigned LASGEMS School codes commenced Thursday 26th August, 2010 and will end by the second term of academic year 2010/2011. Required pre-requisite is the specially packaged One-day LASGEMS Web Appication Trainning Programme for School Managers scheduled on first come first serve basis. Private schools must conclude training registration not later than the end of January 2011 to be scheduled for the training before the end of second term 2010/2011.Training registration by schools ends 31st January 2011, while training would be concluded by end of the second term 2010/2011 academic year.

Schools urged to contact LASGEMS desk officers in any of the six Education Districts for registration information or CALL 08033946883 or 01-8978953. School yet to be issued LASGEMS school code should contact Private Education and Special Programmes Department, Ministry of Education at the secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja

The School Manager collects the operational User Login ID at end of the day's training to formally commence usage as authorised registered user and create other school users that will access, view and update school/students' information/records. All schools must therefore have up-to-date information by the end of the second term.

Digital Imaging (Online real-time digital capture of students' photos and finger prints) is on-going and will be executed for schools with up-to-date student information to qualify for issuance of free LASGEMS student identification cards in accordance with the law establishing the Lagos State Government Education Management Systems (LASGEMS). LASGEMS will in future serve as mandatory registration control input for all external examinations and government organised school/student activities.
